Porsche 992 911 to debut at L.A. Auto Show, go on sale summer 2019

We’ve seen copious sets of spy shots of the -generation Porsche 911, which has been a long time coming. We’ve seen it almost completely uncovered. We’ve seen it at the Nürburgring. We’ve seen it topless, in Turbo form, in GT3 guise, with its huge spoiler deployed, with its new infotainment in view. According to a report from Car & Driver, the next time we see the 2020 could be at its official unveiling.

According to C&D, we’ll see the production version of the 992 911 at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month, so mark your calendars. After that, U.S. sales are expected to begin in . First available will be coupe versions of the 911 Carrera S and 4S, equipped with the optional eight-speed PDK, followed closely by their respective convertible versions. Next available will be the Carrera and Carrera 4, with either the PDK or the seven-speed manual transmission, as well as manual-equipped versions of the Carrera S models. The 2020 911 Turbo will go on before the end of the year.

After that, we’ll see more versions — including Targa, GTS and GT3 — become available.

Pricing isn’t available yet, but we hope that, along with other details, will emerge when we see the new 911 in L.A. late next month.
